Grilled Brie with Strawberries and Balsamic

Final Brie

Nothing says summer like grilling, and nothing makes us happy like grilled cheese! Next time you fire up the grill for a backyard BBQ, throw a wheel of cheese on there and I guarantee it’ll be a hit.

This grilled brie is inspired by a recipe from Delish, found here. I made this on a summer afternoon and it was the perfect appetizer before our BBQ. The recipe may be simple, only requiring brie, olive oil, strawberries and balsamic vinegar, but it will definitely be a memorable summer dish.

Timing:

  • Preparation: 1-2 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
  • Total Time: 11-15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • One wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Strawberries
  • Handful of Chopped Fresh Basil
  • Bread or crackers for serving

Directions:

Place the wheel of brie on tin foil and drizzle with olive oil. Arrange the strawberries on top and around the cheese. Fold it up and place on the grill.

Cook the brie for 10-15 minutes, covered. Check it every few minutes and take it off once the cheese is soft. Drizzle with balsamic and sprinkle the basil leaves on top. Serve with bread or crackers and enjoy!
